The Salyers Percussion PCM20 Performance Collection medium soft marimba mallet is ideal for use on the lower 3.5 octaves of the 5 octave marimba.  It is a great bass mallet that still has nice articulation without sounding harsh. This mallet is often used as the bass mallet of a graduated set. The rubber and latex core is wrapped with a blended wool/nylon yarn for a great sound and added durability.
