Travis Fife
Travis Fife is the former Director and Coordinator of Percussion at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX, where he coordinated all areas of percussion studies, directed the PASIC award winning marching percussion Ensemble and chamber percussion ensemble, along with the Brazilian ensemble, and Drumline. As an adjudicator/clinician, he has appeared at numerous festivals, competitions, PAS days of percussion, and conventions as an active member of the Percussive Arts Society and the Texas Music Educators Association. Travis also serves on the Board of Directors for Monarch Independent Percussion. Along with starting numerous percussion camps and competitions throughout the country, he continues to be in high demand as a judge, clinician, composer, arranger, and performer. He has appeared with several symphony orchestras: Lake Charles Symphony, Rapids Symphony, Alexandria Symphony, The Symphony of Southeast Texas, an as a guest artist with numerous high school and university ensembles. Travis received his B.M. and M.M. under the direction of Lonny Benoit at McNeese State University. He is proud to be a partner of Seavine Cymbal Products and an artist/clinician for EVANS drumheads, Dynasty and Bergerault Percussion Equipment, and Salyers Percussion Sticks and Mallets.
