Tyler Henderson has been the touring drummer for Multi-Platinum recording artist and 2015 Texas Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, Tracy Byrd since 2013.  Tyler found a love for music early in his life, when at the age of 4 he began taking piano lessons. A few years later, he started taking guitar lessons, followed by bass guitar. It wasn’t until he was 11 that Tyler realized his true passion was behind the drum set. Tyler progressed through the highly competitive Texas Jazz all-region scene, placing 7th in the state of Texas his junior year.

Soon after high school, Tyler began playing in local bands gaining valuable experience while he also attended Lamar University in Beaumont, TX where he studied Music Education. His passions don’t just stop at performing as he has been teaching at Tonalta School of Music for 15 years in Port Neches, TX.

Tyler loves playing different styles of music including pop, funk, jazz, country, and many others. His biggest drumming influences are Peter Erskine, Steve Jordan, and Vinnie Colaiuta.
